Lessons For A Newbie

Wow!  I just realized how long it has been since I have been here to post!  I have been trying to do a sort out of all my sites and get everything organized.  Some sites are undergoing a complete overhaul, and others are just getting a tweak here and there.  I am also trying to get some PLR material put together as give-aways and as articles for my sites.   So, I am also trying to do a lot of rewrites!

I have been still going strong with article marketing for a couple of my niche sites, and I am thrilled with how well it is going!  And, I am really only submitting to Ezine articles so far - some to GoArticles and a couple other smaller directories.  I am starting to see some good traffic from these articles, so if this is something you are thinking of doing - you really should get started.  It is hard to get going, and keep going for awhile because you don’t have instant results, like you would with say PPC.  But, it pays off.  Get doing some keyword research and get writing!  It really isn’t hard - and once you have done a couple, it gets so much easier!

I am also wanting to mention something that I have gotten the resale rights to this past week.  It is a set of audios by James B. Allan, where he shows you some very interesting and effective marketing tips.  The first audio alone shows you an incredible site where you can make amazing videos to use on your site or YouTube - and you don’t even need to know anything technical!  (Trust me!  It was even easy enough for me to use!  I had a video done in about 15 minutes as a test to see how it worked - this is absolutely incredible!)  The other audios show you how to make your video go viral, how to do press releases and just a ton of other great information.  Anyway - I am selling the Seven Secrets Seminars audios for only $7.00, so go and get your copies.  Everyone who has had a chance to listen to these so far have been blown away by the information, and I guarantee you will pick up some great tips that can help you get making some money online.

I want you to keep pushing on, and don’t stop learning.  You will get there, and you can feel so proud of having accomplished so much on your own.  I will try to get posting more often - I am a very bad example of keeping up with a blog.  So, do as I say - not as I do;-)

OK, this week seems to have flown by.  I have one too many projects on the go right now, and this is one issue I am hoping to be able to sort out this year.  I tend to get off track so easily, and have a hard time focusing on one task through to the end.  Also, as I am doing some freelance work - article writing, editing and proofreading etc. - I have a responsibility to finish these projects for my clients first.

Anyway, I have been wanting to come and post here for a couple of days about something great I actually just stumbled back on a few days ago.   I am one of these people who saves a lot of stuff to my hard drive, meaning to get back to it to read later.  But, often it is months before I remember to go back and find it - if I ever do!  (I know- it is awful!)  Well, it seems I do the same thing with my favorites list online.  I was browsing through some of the bookmarks I have and came across something that I honestly don’t even remember finding in the first place!  And, if I had looked it over really well to start with, I would have been miles ahead!

If you use Wordpress, or are at all interested in learning how to make money with blogging - you need to check this out!  You will learn everything - from the basics to some really terrific plugins to use and how to set up your blog to make money.  I have searched time and time again for a simple blog template to use - and found one through this site.  It is the same one that the actual site uses, and you can check mine out at www.thewriteinfluence.com that I set up last week - in a couple of hours.   If you go to the menu on the side, you will see that I have used the drop-down menu plug-in which is exactly what I have been looking for.  When you click the link for “Portfolio”, you will then see new links on the page for that section only.  Really cool stuff!  Go through the entire tutorial that is provided here, and you will learn A LOT!  Here is the link:   http://www.bloggingempires.com/    Trust me - you are about to do some learning with this site.
