Lessons For A Newbie

Today I want to talk about something that, as newbies, can be a bit hard to listen to and actually hear at first.

When I was getting started, I had no idea how to do any of the things that were so important to actually start making a bit of money online - things like building a website, using an autoresponder, search engine optimization - I could go on and on.

All of this is vital to be able to build a business online.  I kept trying to find the easiest, premade, turnkey solutions I could.  Well, while you may find these simple solutions - they are no where near as effective as what you could do yourself if you knew how.

Instead of buying all of the guides promising to make you riches in 24 hours, or pre-built sites that are already set up to go - take the time to learn what you need to.  Sure, you won’t be making money right away.  But, guess what?  You wouldn’t be making any money with that other stuff you are buying anyway, because until you learn the basics and how to put it all together, there is no turnkey product or ebook full of promises that can help you.

I have been working with a woman who is experienced at building websites, and who knows how to make a website that makes sense and does what it is meant to do.  Knowing how to build a good, solid website is the basic foundation of any internet business.  If you don’t know how to build a website that sells, you are not going to succeed online.  It really comes down to that, because if you just build any old site and throw it up there, you aren’t making the most of any of the traffic you bring to the site.
